Breakfast With the Word – Thursday, 15th Week in Ordinary Time
Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him and receive rest. This invitation reveals His loving and compassionate heart. True peace and inner rest can only be found in Christ, not in the struggles and pressures of the world.
The burdens people carried in Jesus’ time came from the heavy laws and expectations placed on them by the Pharisees. Jesus offers a different yoke — one filled with love, mercy, forgiveness, and salvation. His burden is light because it leads us closer to God and gives strength to face life’s challenges.

To come to Jesus means accepting His ways, learning from His humility, patience, love, and perseverance. When we remain united with Him, we can experience peace even in difficult moments.
In today’s world, where fear, hatred, struggles, and worries increase, Jesus calls us back to Himself. Let us surrender our burdens to Him, remain faithful through prayer, and trust Him as our refuge and strength.
May we always find true rest in the loving heart of Je
sus. Amen.
