Breakfast with the Word Wednesday Week 3 in Ordinary Time of the Year Shorter Version

Mark 4:1-20

In Mark 4:1–20, Jesus teaches the crowd through the parable of the sower, explaining that the seed is the word of God and its fruitfulness depends on how it is received.

Some hearts are distracted, shallow, or choked by worries and worldly desires, so the word bears no fruit, while an open and committed heart receives it deeply and produces abundant harvest.

Jesus teaches us to listen attentively, protect the word from hindrances, and live it out in our daily lives, knowing that true change, peace, and progress come from acting on God’s word. When you sow on a good ground, it will reap abundant harvest.

May God bless you dearest and give us the grace to live the way He wants. May the word we hear bear abundant fruits in us. Amen.
