Breakfast with the Word Conversion of Saint Paul Shorter Version
Acts 9: 1-22, Mark 16: 15-18.
Today the Church celebrates the Conversion of Saint Paul, a powerful example of how God can change any life. Paul was once a strict Pharisee who fiercely persecuted Christians. He arrested believers, approved the killing of Stephen, and tried to destroy the Church. On his way to Damascus to continue this mission, Jesus met him and completely transformed his life.
From Paul’s conversion, we learn important lessons:
All power belongs to God.
No matter our position or influence, we are always under God’s authority. When people think they are untouchable, God can humble them and remind them that He alone is supreme.
An encounter with God brings true change.
Paul’s life changed only after meeting Jesus. Without a personal encounter with God, faith can feel unreal. We must pray for a genuine experience of God that can transform our hearts.

We may think we know, yet not truly know.
Paul believed he was serving God, but he was wrong. True religion brings love, peace, and hope—not hatred or violence. Every Christian is called to be an instrument of peace and unity.
God can touch any soul.
If God could transform a violent persecutor into a great apostle, He can change anyone. No one is beyond God’s grace.
Conversion is possible through God’s grace.
Paul’s transformation shows that real change comes through Jesus. God’s grace makes even the hardest hearts soft.
We belong to Jesus.
When Jesus asked Paul, “Why are you persecuting me?”, He showed that harming others is harming Him. Loving and helping others is loving and serving Jesus Himself.
As we celebrate the Conversion of Saint Paul, may God touch more lives, change hearts, and draw us closer to Him. Amen.
