Breakfast with The Word: Saturday Octave of Easter Shorter Version
In Mark 16:9–15, Jesus appears to different people after His resurrection, yet many, including His own disciples, refuse to believe. Despite hearing testimonies from Mary Magdalene and other disciples, they choose doubt over faith, revealing hardened hearts.
Their unbelief may have come from pride, fear, misunderstanding, or the expectation that Jesus should appear to them first. At times, like them, we also ignore God’s voice, especially when it comes through unexpected people or situations, or when we feel our problems are beyond solution.

Hardness of heart closes us to truth, keeps us in fear and ignorance, and prevents us from experiencing God’s grace. Jesus rebukes such unbelief because faith is essential for miracles, healing, and salvation. Often, it is not God delaying answers to our prayers, but our lack of faith that limits us.
God continually reaches out to us through His word, prayer, and life experiences, calling us to trust Him. Therefore, we must examine ourselves, believe in His presence, and approach Him with sincerity and openness.
May God bless you dearest and give us the grace to open our hearts before Him. May He bless you beyond your expectations Amen
