Thanksgiving Prayer and Mass Intentions after the 40 days Lenten Journey 

 

As we come to the end of this sacred 40 days of Lenten journey, our hearts should not only reflect on sacrifice, prayer, and repentance, but also on gratitude.

Lent has not been an easy journey. There were struggles, prayers, silent battles, and moments of grace. Now is the time to return to God with thanksgiving.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest form of thanksgiving we can offer to God.

 

1.The Bible reminds us:

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

“What shall I return to the Lord for all His goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord.” — Psalm 116:12-13

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.” — Psalm 100:4

When you offer a Mass:

• You are telling God: “I have seen Your hand in my life.”
• You are acknowledging that everything comes from Him
• You are placing your past, present, and future into His hands

Even if you feel nothing has changed yet, thanksgiving can open closed doors.

Remember that Jesus gave thanks before multiplying the loaves (John 6:11).
Thanksgiving always precedes greater blessings.

 

2. In this Thanksgiving mass, there is no Fixed Amount – Give From Your Heart. There is no fixed price for a thanksgiving Mass. You are encouraged to offer according to your ability, according to your gratitude and according to how God touches your heart.

 

 

 

3. There are three Simple Guidelines for Writing Your Thanksgiving Intentions. When sending your intentions, let them reflect a heart of gratitude. You can follow these simple guides:

 

 

a.Thanksgiving for What God Has Already Done. Acknowledge specific blessings, answered prayers, protection, provision, healing, or growth that happened or is happening in your life. 

Example:
“Thanksgiving to God for His protection over my life and family throughout this Lenten season.”

 

 

b. Thanksgiving Even for Challenges and Difficulties, Unanswered Prayers. 

 

Thank God for the trials, struggles, and delays because they are shaping you and drawing you closer to Him. He knows the reason for everything. Do not feel sad about anything.

Example:
“Thanksgiving to God for the challenges I faced, trusting that He is working all things for my good.” The bible says “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” (Romans 8:28)

 

 

c. Thanksgiving in Advance (Faith-filled Gratitude).

This one is very powerful. If you have a new intention or any intention you want to present or present, thank God in advance or ahead of time for the blessings and intentions you are still praying for.

“I thank you God because you have already made me pass my exams. I thank you Father, because of the healing you have granted to me already. Thank God in advance for the breakthrough and open doors you are trusting Him for.

The Bible says “Do not be anxious about anything… but in everything, by prayer and thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6

 

 

4. Do not finish this Lenten journey without saying Thank You to God.
