Breakfast With the Word Tuesday 9th Week Ordinary Time of The Year Shorter Version
Mark 12:13-17.
Sometimes people’s true intentions are hidden behind words or smiles. In today’s Gospel, the Pharisees and Herodians flatter Jesus to trap Him with a question about paying taxes to Caesar. Jesus sees through their deceit and replies wisely: “Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.”

People may misunderstand your good intentions or secretly wish you harm, even those close to you.
Be cautious of flattering words; not every question requires a yes or no answer.
Think carefully before responding; your actions and words should be guided by wisdom.
God knows the heart. True honesty matters both in our dealings with others and in our intentions.
May God bless you dearest and give you the grace to be victorious always in whatever you do. Amen.
