Breakfast with the Word Monday Third Week in ordinary Time of the Year Shorter Version
In today’s gospel (Mark 3:22–30), Jesus teaches us a powerful lesson on unity. Many people seek God’s blessings and breakthroughs, yet return home to lives filled with envy, division, betrayal, and mistrust. Families, organisations, and communities pray for progress while tearing themselves apart through conflict and jealousy.
The scribes, out of envy, accuse Jesus of working through Beelzebub instead of recognising God’s power at work in Him. Jesus responds by reminding them that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Division is the fastest path to downfall, while unity is the foundation of growth and success.

Jesus shows us the need to confront issues with wisdom, seek peace, and restore broken relationships rather than harbour grudges.
Unity strengthens families, churches, and organisations, but conflict weakens and exposes them to failure. Any Kingdom divided against Itself cannot stand.
May God bless you dearest and give us the grace to overcome all our challenges today Amen.
