Do These If God is Truly Our Father. Tuesday First Week of Lent

Breakfast with the Word Tuesday First Week of Lent Shorter Version

In Matthew 6:7–15, Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray, beginning with the words “Our Father.” This reminds us that prayer is not just words we recite, but a relationship with God as our loving Father.

Calling God “Father” shows that we belong to Him, share in His image, and can approach Him with confidence and trust. As a Father, God does not abandon His children; He remains faithful to His promises and always cares for us.

Therefore, our prayers should be sincere, respectful, and joyful—not mechanical or distracted. We should not treat God as an option or remember Him only in difficult times, but involve Him in every part of our lives with faith and humility.

When we truly see God as our Father, we approach Him with assurance of His love and protection.

May God bless you and give us the grace to understand how close He is to us. May He never allow you to stumble. Amen.
