Breakfast With the Word Monday of the Holy Week Shorter Version
In John 12:1–11, Mary demonstrates what true love for Jesus looks like—extravagant, sacrificial, and sometimes misunderstood. Her act of anointing Jesus with costly perfume shows that loving Him may require giving our resources without holding back.
It also cost her pride, as she humbled herself by serving Jesus in a way considered lowly and culturally shocking. Despite criticism from others, Mary remained focused, showing that genuine love for Christ may also cost us our reputation.

Our love for Jesus should be wholehearted and unreserved, even when it seems unreasonable to others. If our devotion costs us nothing, then we have not truly begun.
It may require our time, finances, and dignity, but every act of love for Jesus is valued by Him. The love of Jesus should be an extravagant and limitless one.
May God bless you dearest and give you the grace to continually come close to Him Amen
