Opinion Poll : What can You do When It Looks As If God is Keeping Silent 1

Sometimes it looks as if God keeps silent to our prayers. During this time, many Christians do lose faith in God. The question is does God actually keep silent?

So, in this opinion poll, a random question was asked on what they can do when it looks as if God is keeping silent. Many offered their suggestions.  This is volume one. This  volume one has forty responses. You can take time and go through them and vote for the best response in the comment section. The person with the highest votes will be rewarded. Below are the responses.

Pray and fast more, offer sacrifices

2.Fidelia Eririogu  Imo and Orlu

God answers prayers but sometimes, God is silent. As believers, we’re all there or will be. We may earnestly seek God but in return, only sense His silence. And this can be difficult, frustrating, even excruciating. The Bible tells the story of a woman named Sarah and a man named Tobit in the gospel of Tobit. In their pain, they cried to God, they kept asking, in their cry for help and relief are met only by deafening silence, until they told God to take their respective life and free them from the pains of the world.(Tobit 3:1vs 15). We can learn a few practical things to do when God seems silent.

1 Examine your life:Here you have to check your life, if there is an unconfessed sin in your life. Confess it to enable you to hear the voice of God. Sarah knew she was still a virgin, she reminded God of her purity whereas Tobit was pleading for mercy on his life even to his ancestors.

  1. Accept God’s authority:He said “be still, know that I am God ” He said in the gospel of wisdom 11 21-” He can show his great power anytime He wants and no one can stand up against it.

Even if you are not seeing anything, trust Him. God told saint Maria Faustina in the divine mercy diary!

” On what I often do to my children, yet they do not trust me.” He further said “trust me, distrust tears my heart”. Recognize that silence can be intimidating. Silence can also be a sign of God’s trust in you. The gospel of John tells a story about Jesus’ friends Lazarus, Mary and Martha. When Jesus found out that Lazarus was ill, rather than rush to Lazarus House to heal him, he stayed where he was for two more days (John 11:6). And before Jesus arrived in Bethany Lazarus died. To Lazarus’s Sisters, Mary and Martha. Jesus’ silence could have been interpreted as neglect -that Jesus did not care about or want to help them. This mirrors a lot of emotions we feel when God does not immediately answer our cries for help.

  1. Listen to what God is saying:Although God may seem silent regarding a specific petition, remember that He is in constant state of communication with us. Through dreams, vision and people around you. Be watchful of people’s character and wordings towards you. As you read the bible ask God to speak to you through the holy spirit, who lives inside you.

4 Keep praising God:This is the best way but it is not easy that you have no food, no money, no shelter, then you are praising God. Anyone who sees you may think you have gone mad but it is the easiest way to get favor from God. St Augustine said” He who sings well prays twice” We often hear about angels praising God that means God loves praises. You can add thanksgiving, someone may ask what God does that you are thanking Him. Life is precious, go to hospital and see charges of oxygen per second to a patient then you will learn to appreciate God for your own free oxygen.

  1. Charity:Charity begins at home and charity shall cover multitude of sins (Peter 4:8). Givers never lack(Proverb 22:9). He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses (Proverb 28:27). Share biscuits and sweets to members of the bloc rosary. Give money to beggars or food to them. Be generous even to your family members, do not be stingy.

  1. Seek for a prayer partner or an intercessor:You can meet the bloc rosary ‘s members to pray for you. Request masses, the help of saints and angels. Let’s look at the life history of St Rita who miraculously entered the convent. Although, she was not accepted in that monastery because she was married before. She is a widow and a mother. She lost her children to epidemic disease, yet she didn’t give up; rather she doubled her novena by invoking three saints that night as she prayed, she woke up in the monastery. Nuns were amazed and accepted her. This was how she entered that monastery and became a Nun. She is named a patron of hopeless cases and desperate cases.

  1. Change the way you think: Beloved, do you know the way you think affects your behavior and utterance. Nowadays, too many prayer houses here and there have made people think everything God will do for you. We should do our part and God will do His. A woman who abandons her house from morning to night daily just to pray in the church and prayer centers without fulfilling her duties as a wife and mother, then what will be the fate of her husband and children. Here, if the man and children start misbehaving, she will say God did not answer her Prayers. Is she expecting God to fulfill her duties?

Secondly, the mentality of some people is that someone is holding your destiny according to the prophets or prophetess to you. I am not saying it doesn’t exist, it does. I had the experience in which two of them confessed and died. Let this prophecy, discoveries or revelation not drain you. Beloved believe that God is in charge of your life. In the midst of an occultist kingdom God has the final say, if God didn’t permit them. They can never succeed.

  1. Always dwell in the presence of God: Visiting Jesus in the blessed sacrament, attending Sundays masses and other church activities are the presences of God. “As smoke blows away, wind, so he drives them off;as wax melts in front of fire,  so do the wicked perish in God’s presence”Psaln68vs1-2. In the presence of God, there is fullness of Joy. There is healing and deliverance in the presence of God. Zachariah encountered a God’s messenger (an angel) in the temple Luke 1 vs 11-19.

Lastly join in group novena prayers and devotion. Those prayers penetrate heaven easily because of a person or more might be in the state of grace so their prayers covers others

I hope with these you will know that God keeps silence, but He is acting. In Ibo, we call it (agbara nkiti okwu biri n’onu ya). Yes But brethren at times one might practice all these, yet he or she is not seeing answers to the prayers, continue practicing it, don’t rush. It is a gradual process.

God is not a magician but a miracle worker. All fingers are not equal, the way God answered Mr A, can’t be the same way for Mr B. Destiny can be delayed but not denied. What gonna be gonna be. God will answer you at His own time and on His own way, Just say let His will be done. He promised in Jeremiah 29 vs 11, “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for”. May God bless us beloved in Jesus name Amen.

Thanks for this wonderful question.

The things I actually do when I think God has given up on me are :

Firstly Reconciliation with God : I will go for confession and receive the grace of reconciliation. Make peace with God.

Secondly sacrifice :

I look for something so dear to me, pray over it (my intentions)and give them out neither to the street beggars nor to the orphanage home cuz I believe that there is a grace attached to it . Givers never lack .

Thirdly : I fast and pray . Then I put my hope in Him.

  1. Okoli Tochukwu Anambra State

For me, I believe that whenever God makes me wait, it will always be worth it at the end.

This is where the test of my faith comes in. So, I will praise and worship Him, I will dance like David danced, because my blessing can be delayed but never denied.

In addition to this, I’ll pay rapt attention and listen to God. I’ll keep working, pushing, searching and researching for opportunities, because heaven helps those who help themselves. I won’t be idle, I will move because my miracle could be waiting for me outside.

When it looks as if God is keeping silent on you, be rest assured by His words in the Bible that says that every hair on your head has been counted.

There is nothing you do that goes unnoticed by the Father.

Just like in the parable of the widow and the Judge, the widow kept on asking for a favour from the Judge and the Judge kept on being silent to her request. One day, he decided to answer her because she may ‘worry Him to death!’

Keep ‘disturbing’ God. Your miracle is closer than you think. Draw inspiration from the woman with the issue of blood. Twelve long years! Still she persevered. Same with the paralytic by the pool. He kept missing getting to the pool on time until one day, he finally got His healing.

Do not give up. The Bible says keep praying and NEVER LOSE HEART!

When it looks as if God is keeping silent on you, I believe it is necessary to;

1) Remember that God’s time and ways are far above ours for a thousand years is like a day before the Lord and vice versa.

2) understand that God can seek our patience through the seeming silence. Hence it is necessary to apply faith , for it is by faith that we please God as ha faith shows our trust in him ( if you doubt me , u can ask father Abraham, smiles)

3) count your blessings, and be thankful even as you continue to make your request known to God for it is God’s will that all supplication be made in Thanksgiving to God. It is the desire of many to be in your current situation but God has been gracious to help you attain whatever level you’ve reached, so be hopeful , trusting God to hear you

A STORY WAS TOLD OF A MAN WHO BOUGHT A PIECE OF LAND HE WAS TOLD HAD HUGE RESERVE OF PRECIOUS GEMS.

HE DUG AND PROSPECTED FOR A YEAR, GOING TO THREE BUT STRUCK NOTHING. IN EXASPERATION AND ANGER AT MAY BE HAVING BEEN SOLD A DUMMY, HE SOLD THE LAND AT A GIVEAWAY COST.

THE NEW OWNER DUG ONLY A FOOT AND STRUCK A VAST AMOUNT OF PRECIOUS STONES AND GEMS.

WHAT DOES THE STORY HAVE TO DO WITH THE QUESTION ABOVE?

THE MAN DIGGING FOR GEMS COULD BE LIKENED TO THE EFFORTS WE MAKE A PRAYER. WE PUT ALL WE HAVE I PRAYER BUT WHEN IT LOOKS THAT GOD IS SILENT, DEPICTED BY THE THREE YEAR HE DUG, WE TEND TO GIVE UP LIKE HE DID AT THE POINT GOD WAS READY TO ANSWER.

SO WHEN IT SEEMS THAT GOD IS SILENT, WE KEEP ON PRAYING IN FAITH, NEVER GIVING UP , KNOWING THAT NO PRAYER WE SAY GOES UNHEARD OR UNANSWERED BY GOD.

THE BIBLE SAYS IN HEBREWS 11, THAT WITHOUT FAITH WE CANNOT PLEASE GOD. CONVERSELY WITH FAITH WE PLEASE GOD AND WHEN WE DO, HE DELIGHTS IN ANSWERING OUR PRAYERS IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP AS THE MAN IN THE STORY DID AND SO LOST THE “ANSWER” HE SO EARNESTLY SOUGHT.

LET’S KEEP ON PRAYING LIKE JACOB DID. HE HELD UNTO GOD AND DID NOT LET GO UNLESS GOD BLESSES HIM.

AND GOD DID.

When it looks as if God is keeping silent on you,it could be frustrating as if the whole world is against you, that you are the worst sinner and your prayers are not reaching the ears of God but that’s not the case. I go into praise,I sing to God my Father because he is the Father to the Fatherless and HE always prove to me that HE is my Father

When is as if God is keeping silent to my prayers I use the acronyms PUSH (pray untill something happens), I don’t just give up cause I know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, most times God allow us to go through fire for us to shine brighter because raw gold becomes gold only when it passses through great heat of fire.

I don’t get depressed when it seems God is silent because I know he is preparing me for a greater miracle so that when it comes it will be a very big testimony there by bringing greater glory to his name, giving up on God has never been an option and it can never be. Just like the story of Lazarus, his sister’s called Jesus when his friend became sick but he purposely refused to go and he allowed him to die so that God’s name will be glorified, and when he resurrected him many believed in him, so when such happens I know God is cooking something great for me. Faith is all we need when trusting God for answers to our prayers.

Firstly I will do a self check if there are things I am doing that God may not be pleased with because sin can block our relationship with God. If I discover anything, I go for confession or consult a priest who can give me penance prayers to do, After which I continue my prayers to request from God consistently because God answers at his own time which is the best time because he knows what we need and when to give it to us and I try to keep up hope and trust in God while praying and waiting patiently.

Does God actually keep silence? Is He deaf to our prayers? If he does why? Does he derive joy in watching His children suffer?

This runs in each of our mind each time we are in trouble and will call upon Him and it seems He doesn’t care. Well the answer is NO.

We pray without knowing God’s aim and plan for us, even the Holy book said His plan for us is of good.

In my personal encounters with Him, I have seen his hands all through, though most times it doesn’t go according to my personal plans, but at the emd6 I noticed that where He led me to has always been better than what I prayed for and where I was headed.

When it seems He isn’t answering, be calm, stop praying for what you feel you want, start praying for His will to be done. It might take time in our human eyes but be rest assured He will lead you to a better place.

I have also come to realize that most things we pray for are those things that will hurt us in future without knowing, He knows it all and gently steers us to the right path.

When it looked as if God is keeping silent on me:

  1. I will give him the pain. 2. I’ll keep going. 3. I will rest in him and I will never give up. 4. I’ll remain faithful in God. 5 I’ll continue praying to God. 6. I’ll fast and pray more. 7. I’ll remind God of his promises to his children using Bible quotations. 8. I’ll be still and will not go back. 9. I will pray for forgiveness of my sins as a result of doubt and go for confession to be in a state of grace. 10.I’ll trust God even more when it is hard. 11. I will observe one hour silent hour everyday. 12. I’ll give in 1 hour everyday praying even in God’s silence, i will feel his presence because when God is Silent he’s doing something (Is 65:24). 13. Bill Hybel once said, “if the request is wrong,God says ‘slow’. If you are wrong,God says ‘Grow’. But if the request is right and the timing is right and you are right,God says ‘Go’. 14. 1 kg 19:12, God revealed Himself to Elijah in “a sound of sheer silence”. God speaks with silence and presence. 15. I will always remember the truth that He always cares for me. 16. Finally, I will keep doing good believing that God will answer me sooner than later.

What I will do when it seems God is keeping silent on me is that,I will continue praying that is I will be persistent in my prayer and hold onto him in faith, that he will answer me at the appointed time. I will also encourage myself with his word( Bible) especially in the book of Isaiah chapter 40vs 31; and it says that those

who wait on the lord shall renew their strength… Also in the book of Luke chapter 18 : 1-18; the parable of the persistent widow. So, I will be still and know He is God as He told us in the book of Psalm.

Thank you

What I do when I think God is keeping silent on me, like right now, is that I pray a lot for people and they get answers but I don’t get answers for my own prayer. Am a very sociable person but at this point I feel withdrawn from people around me and communicate more with people outside my environs, people who are not within my community. I cry a lot at night and when I am alone. I don’t feel hungry at all, even when I know I love food, so I end up eating once a day cause there is no appetite at all, no joy to even eat.

And if I happen to speak or ask questions I could really ask some strange question, like the one I asked last week. If I was in a coma, who would I actually wake up to see by the side of my hospital bed???

It could be very frustrating too when even loved one could say you chose these life so you should handle your financial problems alone or you quit but deep within me, I know I didn’t choose these life, he called me to it, so I just have to wait on him even when am cut up in a dilemma.

Introduction

Before I begin, I will like to explain what prayer is all about.

What is Prayer?

According to the penny catechism, It is the raising up our minds and hearts to God, in silence or in words.

Types of prayers

  1. Mental
  2. Vocal
  3. Mental: it is the act of praying to God in silence and in meditation
  4. Vocal: it is the act of prayer that deals with speech and the making use of the vocal cavity.

God is our loving father, He’s the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and the father who cares for the the good of His creatures.

In praying to God for our private needs or intentions we must take note of the following:

Y-es

N-o

W-ait

YES- While praying to God for a private need, God who is all knowing have seen that this need is very important to the person. He (God) will answer the prayer for the betterment of the person and also for the good of all around that person who may likely benefit from the blessings of God.

NO- God is All powerful and He has seen that when the request is granted, it may cause damages to the person or the whole society or may lead to the untimely death of the person. He says NO to that particular request and answer the person in another way round.

WAIT- The scripture says that a thousand years is like a day in God’s eyes. We must also note that God is timeless and limitless so, by saying wait. He (God) wants us to wait for the right time to come for good things come to those who wait on the Lord.

In Isaiah 59:1 it says that the Lord’s ear is not too deaf to hear us nor His hands too short to reach us. Remember the woman with the issues of blood according to Matthew 9:20 and Mark 5 :29. The woman has suffered for 12 years in the hands of many physicians with the issue of blood and have spent all that she had. But when she encountered the Lord her situation changed, remember she has (waited) for 12 years and finally she became whole.

The same scenario with the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-15 who has been there for years waiting for someone to throw him inside the pool whenever the water is troubled because during that time, healing takes place. But when Christ came into his situation, he turned everything around for his good.

In praying, patience matters alot and according to the Igbo adage ” a patient dog eats the fattest bone”. When we are patient with God, He blesses us the more and God’s blessings add no sorrows.

Many times in life, we often find ourselves in this kind of situation. Situations where we feel God has completely shut us out. Here ate things I feel can help when God seems to be silent:

Show gratitude.

Instead of always thinking about that problem that cannot be solved because ‘God is silent’, try to focus on the beautiful things around you. Bring your mind to appreciate all the good things God has done for you. This way, you will feel happier, remain positive and even increase your chances of finding solutions to that problem.

Trust God and be patient.

If you can understand that the so called silence of God could be for your own good then, you will reduce the way you worry about certain problems. Sometimes, God doesn’t answer our prayers immediately because it is not yet time or because that desire is not the best for us. A little patience and trust in God will make us realise that once it is time for that prayer to be answered, God will surely do it.

Look inwards.

Sometimes, the cause of God’s silence could actually be our own fault. A person who cannot hear from God could actually see God as silent even when He is speaking. Developing a closer bond with God through prayers and a sin-free life could improve our ability to hear God. Also some of our problems are man- made and require only our identification of the root through personal reflections and meditation. Once identified, we can deal with this problem instead of blaming God for his silence.

Lastly, try to engage in activities that will take your mind off the problem. Seek out activities that can make you laugh and improve your health since worrying cannot solve any problems and always believe in God.

When it’s as if God is keeping silent on me…

Firstly I will try not to accept it, I will try to console myself like it’s not happening murmuring intercessory prayer. But when it dawned on me that what I asked was not granted I feel rejected and dejected. Tears just flow like it has been waiting for me to say start.

I ask God why me. Why keep silent on me? The next option is to run to Him face to face at the chapel with a heavy heart. Cry myself out asking him questions. When I am done I dry my tears and go , no prayers or begging, I will just leave. But as time goes on I try to calm myself down and lastly I return back to him with more prayers and hope. Because verily I know He is there and knows I am calling on him just that He feels it’s not yet time. That is it ooh

.

When it seems God is not answering our prayer, it is simply in our minds. Human mind can play lots of tricks. When it seems God is silent, it’s either we haven’t approached him rightly or that it’s not yet time for that particular flavor to be granted. Life Challenges come with a lesson and most times God allows us to go through these Challenges to learn the lesson. That phase cannot pass if one hasn’t learnt the lesson meant for it. It’s just like passing an examination and moving to the next class.

So I believe that when we ask God for a favor we should open our mind and heart to hear him and know what actually he wants us to do and learn. Sometimes he might be speaking but distractions wouldn’t let us hear him. He hardly keeps silent as a father

When it feels like God is keeping silent on me He may actually be saving me from myself.saving me from my own desires that will lead me astray and potentially not turn out well

When I get into those moments when I feel like God isn’t listening I do the following

1) I put my trust in him

I just need to trust him even more knowing that He is in control

Knowing that the pain at that moment shall pass

Nothing except Heaven is forever

2) I consult my Bible

I dive into his word and let the spirit guide me

The Bible verse I love psalm 94:14

For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage”

It’s God’s desire and intention to save me, not to abandon me

God maybe silent but he is not absent Matthew 1:23 says ,” The Virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel”( which means “God with us”)

God is with us and God is active even when God is silent

3) I pray to God .Ask that he open my eyes to his way and wisdom

I pray for a soft heart to receive his message in whatever way He is trying to reveal it to me.

I Ask that he quiet my own thoughts so I may hear His more clearly

And I give gratitude for what He has already provided for me

God answers prayer but sometimes God is silent. As believers, we’ve all been there or will be. We may ernestly seek God but, in return, only sense his silence. And this silence can be difficult, frustrating and even excruciating.

The Bible tells the story of a man named Job who was well acquainted with God’s silence. In his pain and suffering, he cried out to God. He asked for answers, and he kept asking.

But for the first 37 chapters of the book of Job, his cries for God’s help and relief are met only by God’s deafening silence.

As christians we are not always going to hear God’s voice, but from Job we can learn a few practical things to do when God seems silent and they’re:

  1. Examine your life
  2. Accept God’s Authority
  3. Listen to what God is saying
  4. Recognise that silence can be intimate
  5. Keep talking to God.

God’s silence should not make us turn back on him or stop praying, in the sense that God doesn’t answer prayers anymore, instead, it should be an invitation to seek Him even more because the bible says that we should pray till something happens.

God seems silent doesn’t mean we should doubt Him or stop praying rather He was waiting for the perfect time to speak . like the case of Lazarus in the Bible. God heard about his friend Lazarus illness, he waited for day before He could go and see him. But before He could get there, Lazarus has already been dead and buried. To Lazarus’ siblings Mary and Martha, they somehow blamed Jesus for not being there on time , that if He had been there on time , their brother wouldn’t have died. Jesus silence to Mary and Martha brings them closer to God and also not underestimate the power of God.

Same thing is also applicable to Job in the bible. God chose Job because He trusted him.

God may be silent but He is not absent. The only thing God wants from us is to trust and believe in Him.

May God give me courage and strength to trust and believe in Him even though it seems that He keeps silent to my prayers. Amen

Whether God is silent or not is not the point. What do we do and how are we supposed to be still when God is silent ?Sometimes it feels like God is silent, like God does not see the big problems or maybe God does not care about the hars seasons we are in. How can we actually learn to be still when it seems like God is silent? We observe in psalm 83:1 that prayer matters; “o God, do not keep silent; do not hold thy peace or be still o God”.

This Bible passage enjoins us to pray always and harder. pray as if your life depended on it .

If you are asking, does God hear my cry? YES, know that he really does. When it feels like he is silent, keep leaning in, praying and following his precepts and as well be still, and sooner than expected, he will grant our request.

Let us always have it in mind that God’s time is the best. God bless you.

First And Foremost, the God I know is never silent to my requests.

It seems like God is silent because, we give God our own time duration to answer our prayers forgetting that there’s a preparation stage for everything, God may be preparing you for what you have asked for and it seems like he’s silent , secondly, Ecclesiastes 3:1 says that ,there’s time for everything and my people will always say,”Oge Chukwu ka mma” meaning God’s time is the best, so I will only hold on,keep praying and allow God’s time to come. Definitely, he will answer my prayers when the time comes.

  1. Menankiti Kenechukwu Anambra state and Ifite-Ukpo

It can be quite depressing, sometimes frustrating when it seems like “God is keeping silent”. I remember a time when my sister was praying for a breakthrough for a job after graduation. Every door seemed closed. All her efforts in job hunting, nothing was coming through. One day She said She’s tired, “that it just seems as if God went for a vacation in the Bahamas and forgot all about her”. She was feeling so alone and dejected at that point. I told her that it is possible. That “God went for the vacation”, but to prepare her goody bag” but then She has to be getting ready to receive it. Not losing guard, not letting the setbacks dull her to doubting God’s presence, staying patient in God’s word.

Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything.  But in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking with a thankful heart”. Psalm 40:1 “I waited patiently for the Lord’s help; then He listened to me and heard my cry”. Remembering that God’s time is always the best and that He is never late, He is always on time. The only difference is that “our time” is different from “God’s time”. When God answered her (my sister), the blessing was huge!

Most times when I do feel like “God is silent”. The memory of what I told my sister that very day reassures me of God’s presence even through the thick and thin. It keeps my hope alive to wait on God.

  1. ONYEKWELU JUSTINEMARY OBUMNEKE Nigeria

I will keep faith and fervent and do what is within my range as I continue to preserve in the Lord because. GOD’S TIME IS THE BEST! THANKS.

37.Okoli Tochukwu Anambra State

For me, I believe that whenever God makes me wait, it will always be worth it at the end.

This is where the test of my faith comes in. So, I will praise and worship Him. I will dance like David danced, because my blessing can be delayed but never denied.

In addition to this, I’ll pay rapt attention and listen to God. I’ll keep working, pushing, searching and researching for opportunities, because heaven helps those who help themselves. I won’t be idle, I will move because my miracle could be waiting for me outside.

Good morning.

  1. Miriam Kyaa Benue State

This is a rather difficult question I must say, because when it seems as if God is silent as human I get disappointed and discouraged and I start questioning my faith and wondering what I am doing wrong.

And sometimes I even question God himself, but despite the setbacks and disappointments I remember all he has done for me in the past, even when I didn’t ask, he provided for me and he knows my needs before I ask.

With that thought in mind,my faith is restored and my belief stronger and then I praise God even more,I even add some fast to my prayers and beg forgiveness for doubting him and my lack of patience. So patiently I wait for him,in prayer, praises and thanksgiving until I hear from him. It has never failed me. And when he finally answers me I stare up into the heavens and smile and say “I know this is you lord. Thank you Father”

  1. IGNATIUS ONYEABOR ANAMBRA, AGULERI

What I will do if it looks as if God is keeping silent on me.

Presumably I have been asking God for a favour for years. Knowing fully well that God answers prayers in three different ways which are;

  1. Your prayers will be answered now.
  2. Or Your prayers will be answered later.
  3. Your prayers won’t be answered due to your bad motive.

I will still be patient, persistent and courageous that God will give answers to my prayers said with good heart and motive.

Most often it could be something that can be obtained if I deploy the wisdom and talent God has given me, but due to my inability to discover that, I may conclude that God has kept some long to answer me.

Furthermore, I am fully aware of what happened in the case of Daniel when he prayed, in the book of Dan. 10vs 1 following, it was recorded that Daniel prayed and his prayer was hijacked by the prince of Persia but due to the intervention of the angel of God, his prayer was answered after 21 days.

Most times what happens in the case of Daniel can as well happen. Therefore I need to be patient and keep on believing in God that one day He will answer my prayers.

A man once told me a story of someone who was asking God to help him buy a car. After some time he presumed God didn’t want to answer his prayers, then he resorted to an illegal means of acquiring a car. He succeeded. But on a letter run, he had an accident with that car and died. It becomes a story with lots of lessons, to hold on to God and wait patiently for God’s time.

In summary, I will keep on asking God to do His will on my request that is not forthcoming quickly.

Again we have to bear in mind that the plans and way of God are quite different from the way of God. For a thousand years is just like a day before God.

Persevere in prayer according to the gospel of Luke 18:1 -8. Do not loose faith. Go to the blessed Sacrament and pray concerning the case.Tell God what you will do in return if he answer you
