How to Win Souls for God: Breakfast with the Word Mark 6:7-13.

Breakfast with the Word Thursday Fourth Week Ordinary Time of the Year Shorter Version

Mark 6:7-13

Every human being is sent into the world with a mission: to win souls for God. In today’s gospel, Jesus sends out the apostles and teaches us how to carry out this mission. First, we must trust totally in God’s provision, knowing that He who sends us is in control and will supply all we need. We are only instruments; God owns the work and gives the grace, strength, and direction required.

Second, obedience is essential. The apostles went without questioning Jesus, teaching us never to doubt or disobey God but to follow His instructions faithfully, using every service and position to save souls. Third, Jesus sends them in pairs, reminding us to work in harmony, love, and unity, because people are often drawn to God by the witness of our lives.

Finally, we are called to focus on the mission rather than personal comfort or gain. When we prioritize touching lives and winning souls, God takes care of every other need and reward.

May God help us to recognize our missions and use it to win souls . May He continue to bless and protect you. Amen
