Breakfast with the Word: Wednesday First Week of Lent Shorter Version
In Gospel of Luke 11:29–32, Jesus rebukes the crowd for constantly seeking signs and wonders instead of recognizing who He truly is. He tells them that no sign will be given except the sign of Jonah.
Just as Jonah spent three days in the belly of the fish and became a sign to Nineveh, so Jesus would die and rise again after three days. His resurrection is the greatest and ultimate sign that He is the Messiah.

Today, many people still run after miracles and spectacular displays instead of building a genuine relationship with God.
.True spirituality is not centered on signs and wonders but on Jesus Himself. The real transformation God desires is a change of heart, repentance, and obedience to His word.
Therefore, a total change of heart is the key, and the best way to begin this is to listen to Jesus, think Jesus, and do like Jesus.
May God sanctify us and give us the grace to continually come close to Him. Amen.
