Matthew 10:24-33
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us three times: “Do not be afraid.” Many people fail to fulfil their calling because they fear criticism, rejection, mistakes, and persecution. Jesus teaches that a disciple is not greater than the master; therefore, if He suffered, His followers should also be prepared to face challenges for His sake.
We should not fear people’s opinions because truth will eventually be revealed. God sees every injustice, lie, and hidden plan, and He fights for those who serve Him. Our mission is to boldly proclaim Christ and use our gifts for His glory rather than hide because of fear.
Jesus reminds us that God cares for us deeply, even more than the sparrows. He knows our struggles, protects us, and values us. Therefore, we should place our trust in Him, remain faithful during trials, and never deny Him.
The message is clear: Do not allow fear to stop you from serving God. Stand firm, persevere, and trust that God will reward those who remain faithful. Amen.
